Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3

“Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 delivers satisfying, tactical open-world sniping and drone scouting, though omniscient enemy AI, harsh mission failure conditions, and redundant crafting hinder gameplay.”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 delivers an engaging open world experience with large maps full of activities like rescuing civilians and tracking footprints to find hidden areas. The introduction of the drone makes scouting outposts incredibly convenient, and the wide variety of weapons feels excellent to use. Snipers have a satisfying weight to every shot, particularly the 50 cal rifles, and the most wanted targets offer a great side activity. I also appreciated the Sabotage DLC for its extra narrative depth and the collectibles that share real history about war heroes.

However, the game is held back by limited enemy weapon variety and an unforgiving mission structure where one missed shot can cause instant failure. The stealth mechanics are often frustrating by omniscient AI that pinpoint your location if your drone is spotted, and the lack of non lethal takedowns makes certain objectives feel overly difficult. Furthermore, the crafting system is largely redundant since items are easily bought, the Escape of Lydia DLC is disappointing at only twenty minutes long, and the GPS can be quite misleading during navigation.

Overall Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is a solid tactical shooter that provides satisfying sniping mechanics and plenty of exploration despite its technical flaws and some poorly balanced gameplay systems. It is a rewarding experience for those who prioritize long range combat and open world freedom over polished stealth and survival mechanics.
