Call of Duty 2

“Call of Duty 2 delivers immersive WWII team action with detailed sound and generous checkpoints, but constant enemy grenade spam and clumsy friendly-fire AI can frustrate.”

Call of Duty 2 is still a classic FPS that many people remember fondly, especially because of its AI teammates. Unlike other shooters where you’re mostly on your own, here you’ve got buddies fighting alongside you, which makes the action feel much more alive and team-based.

The missions mix things up enough to keep you interested, and the game is pretty generous with checkpoints, so you don’t have to redo large sections if you mess up. The sound design is fantastic, with all the battlefield noises and background chaos really pulling you into the war atmosphere. For a game from 2005, it still looks and feels pretty detailed and immersive.

That said, the AI teammates can sometimes be a pain because they’ll walk right into your line of fire and cause friendly fire, which can lead to annoying restarts. Also, enemies throw grenades constantly, even on normal difficulty, and since you can’t throw them back, some fights can feel a bit unfair or frustrating.

Overall, Call of Duty 2 is a solid WWII shooter with great atmosphere and team dynamics. Just be ready for some AI mishaps and grenade spam. It’s definitely worth playing again if you’re into classic shooters.
